Last week I completed 6 days on the River Wye with the 8th Norwich Scout group teaching kayaking. We had two good trips along the river and by the end of the week most of the young people had obtained their 1 star award. Several had shown they were capable of acheiving even more and had progressed considerably through the days. The iinitial fear of the Symonds Yat rapids disappeared as they developed more confident in their capabilities. Looking forward to next year.
